General Terms and Conditions of the Online Store www.sophia.academy

The general terms and conditions of the online store www.sophia.academy are drafted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot), based on the recommendations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), and international e-commerce codes.

The online store www.sophia.academy is operated by:

(hereinafter referred to as “the provider”), the provider of e-commerce services.

The general terms and conditions cover the operation of the online store www.sophia.academy, user rights, and the business relationship between the provider and the buyer.

 

Availability of Information

The provider commits to always supply the buyer with the following information:

  • The identity of the company (company name and registered office, registration number),
  • Contact details that enable quick and efficient communication (email, phone),
  • Essential characteristics of the goods or services (including after-sales services and warranties),
  • Availability of products (each product or service offered on the website should be available within a reasonable timeframe),
  • Terms of delivery of the product or service (method, place, and time of delivery),
  • All prices must be clearly and unambiguously defined, and it must be shown if they already include taxes and shipping costs,
  • Methods of payment and delivery,
  • An explanation of the complaint procedure, including all information about the contact person or customer support service.

 

Product Offering

Due to the nature of online business, the offer in the online store www.sophia.academy is frequently updated and changes quickly.

Prices are presented as online prices. The online price is the price that applies for purchases made online with immediate 100% payment via bank transfer, PayPal account, or credit cards.

 

Payment Methods

The provider offers the following payment methods:

  • By direct transfer to the bank account of the provider Sasha Noah d.o.o.; account number SI56 0400 0027 7969 931, opened at OTP banka d.d.,
  • Through a PayPal account with automatic entry via an external link,
  • With credit cards Eurocard / Mastercard or Visa via PayPal application without registration,
  • With credit or debit cards through the Stripe payment system.

 

Prices

All prices are final unless explicitly stated otherwise. SASHA NOAH d.o.o. is a VAT payer, and all prices include VAT.

Prices are valid at the time of order placement and do not have a predetermined validity.

Prices are valid when paid by the methods listed above, under the stated conditions.

Despite the great efforts to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information, there may be an error in the price data. In such cases, or if the price of the item changes during order processing, the provider will allow the customer to withdraw from the purchase and will simultaneously offer a solution that will satisfy both parties.

The sales contract between the provider and the buyer is concluded at the moment when the provider confirms the order (the buyer receives an electronic message about the order status: Order confirmed). From this moment on, all prices and other conditions are fixed and apply to both the provider and the buyer.

 

Promotions

Discounts do not accumulate unless otherwise stated in the promotion terms. Only one promotional code can be used per purchase.

 

Purchase Process

  1. Order in the queue:
    After placing an order, the buyer receives a notification by email that the order has been placed in the queue. At this step, the buyer still has the option to cancel the order. Detailed information about the status and content of the order is always available on the provider’s website.
  2. Order confirmed:
    If the buyer does not cancel the order, the order proceeds to further processing. The provider reviews the order, checks the availability of the ordered items, and confirms or rejects the order with a reason. The provider may contact the buyer by phone to verify information or ensure accurate delivery. Upon confirmation of the order, the provider notifies the buyer by email about the expected delivery time.
  3. Goods dispatched:
    The provider prepares and dispatches the goods within the agreed timeframe and informs the buyer by email.
  4. Returns:
    Items can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The item must be returned in its original packaging, in unchanged quantity, and undamaged. The return shipping costs are covered by the buyer.

 

Warranty

The warranty is valid if the instructions on the warranty certificate are followed and upon presentation of the invoice. Warranty periods are stated on the product warranty certificates or on the invoice.

 

Delivery and Returns

The provider will deliver the goods or service within the agreed timeframe, unless unforeseen events occur that the provider cannot influence (natural disasters, unexpected delivery delays by suppliers, etc.).

Unless otherwise specified, the delivery time is 2-7 days. For certain products ordered by configuration, you will be informed about the delivery time upon ordering.

The buyer (customer) pays for the delivery and return costs. The delivery price list is provided during the item order process. The buyer covers the delivery and return costs in cases where the consumer has the right under the Consumer Protection Act for distance contracts.

The contractual partner for parcel delivery is Pošta Slovenije, but the provider reserves the right to choose another delivery service if this will fulfill the order more efficiently. The delivery service reserves the right to deliver the parcel within 3 days from the notification of dispatched goods.

 

Protection of Personal Data

The provider commits to permanently protecting all personal data of the user.

The provider will use personal data exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the order (sending informative material, offers, invoices) and other necessary communication.

The user’s data will not be handed over to unauthorized persons under any circumstances.

The user is also responsible for the protection of personal data by ensuring the security of their username and password.

 

Communication

The provider will contact the user via remote communication means only if the user does not explicitly object to it.

Advertising emails will include the following elements:

  • They will be clearly and unambiguously marked as advertising messages,
  • The sender will be clearly visible,
  • Various campaigns, promotions, and other marketing techniques will be marked as such. The conditions for participation will also be clearly defined,
  • The method of unsubscribing from receiving advertising messages will be clearly presented,
  • The provider will explicitly respect the user’s wish not to receive advertising messages.

 

Disclaimer

The provider strives to ensure that the information published on its websites is up-to-date and accurate. However, the characteristics of the products, delivery time, or price can change so quickly that the provider cannot correct the information on the websites. In such cases, the provider will notify the customer of the changes and allow them to withdraw from the order or replace the ordered item.

The provider is not responsible for the content of product reviews written by visitors. The provider reviews opinions before publication and rejects those that contain obvious inaccuracies, are misleading, or offensive. The provider is not responsible for information in reviews and disclaims any responsibility arising from the information in reviews.

Although the provider strives to ensure accurate photographs of the products for sale, all photographs should be taken as symbolic. Photographs do not guarantee product properties.

 

Complaints and Disputes

The provider respects the applicable consumer protection laws. The provider will make every effort to fulfill its duty to establish an effective complaints handling system and designate a person with whom the buyer can contact in case of problems, either by phone or email.

The provider will confirm within five working days that it has received the complaint, inform the buyer how long it will take to process it, and keep the buyer informed about the progress of the procedure.

The provider is aware that the essential characteristic of consumer disputes, especially concerning judicial resolution, is the disproportionality between the economic value of the claim and the costs incurred in resolving the dispute itself. This is also the main reason why consumers do not initiate a dispute in court. Therefore, the provider strives to resolve any disputes amicably.

 

Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes

In accordance with legal norms, SASHA NOAH d.o.o. does not recognize any provider of out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes as competent for resolving a consumer dispute that a consumer could initiate under the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act.

SASHA NOAH d.o.o., which, as a provider of goods and services, enables an online store within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia, publishes an electronic link to the platform for online settlement of consumer disputes (SRPS) on its website. The platform is available to consumers here:

The above regulation derives from the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act, Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on online dispute resolution for consumer disputes, and the amendment of Regulation (EC) No 2016/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC.
