Sunil Hasmukharay has been an international speaker since the tender age of 17, when he was first invited to speak by the United Nations. Since then he has travelled to about 30 countries, training, coaching, and speaking to about 100,000 people globally over the last 18 years.
Sunil is regarded a strategist and thought leader in developing Solution Focused and Strength Based leaders. He helps organizations go through change management, using the solution Focused and Appreciative Inquiry approach. In the last 2 years, Sunil has trained close to 600 leaders in Solution Focused Leadership & Coaching Skills at Petronas. Some of the other organizations leveraging on Sunil’s expertise include Bank Indonesia (Indonesia), BIACC (Brunei), Schneider Electric, Berjaya Group, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Westport Berhad, UMW Berhad, and many more.
Sunil is the Founder and Group CEO of the HC Consultants Group, President of the Malaysia Association of Professional Trainers & Coaches (MAPTaC), the Co-Founder and Director of the Global Trainers’ Federation (GTF), and the Founder of ASEAN Corporate Happiness Culture Community, among the many others.
Sunil’s passion in community service and social work is evident when he spends most of his time initiating various nation building projects, like the National Honour Our Parents Everyday (HOPE) Program 2012, the ASEAN Human Value Drama Festival 2013, the Values for Nation 2020, etc. He is currently also championing a youth empowerment programme initiatives called D.A.R.T.S – Drugs, Alcohol Abuse, Relationship Issues, and Time Wastage & Smoking. In fact, when he recently went to Engen in South Africa to train more than 250 senior leaders on Solution Focused Leadership & Coaching Skills, he was invited to a meeting in the Parliament in Cape Town to present the DARTS initiative to community leaders.
Sunil’s strengths in people development and organization transformation was evident when he was appointed a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ by the International Federation of Training Development Organizations as a representative on the International Standards Organization (ISO) Committee, tasked with developing the global learning and development standard. Sunil has recently been appointed an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Technology Petronas.
Sunil has been conferred various awards globally, recognizing his commitment, skills, and contributions in the areas of human resource (HR), talent development and community service.
